KCR: Transform villages into clean, green habitations

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday reviewed the functioning of Panchayati Raj Department and asked the officials to work towards transforming villages into clean and green habitations.

He urged them to focus on the comprehensive development of villages in the backdrop of new Panchayati Raj Act and make an action plan for the all-round progress of villages in the next three months beginning with the activity on clean villages next month.

KCR announced the clean village campaign to be taken up from the Independence Day and be completed in a month. He directed the officials to enhance the salaries and allowances of village-level Panchayati raj staff particularly the sanitation staff.
