Political rivalry in Andhra Pradesh has crossed border and entered Telangana. With a battle that TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao brought upon himself, TDP Chief N. Chandrababu entered the fray. Now, YSRCP which is TDP’s political rival in the neighbouring Telugu state has appealed to Seemandhra voters not to vote for the Yellow party.
“At any cost, please don’t vote for TDP candidates in Telangana. Use your conscience to vote carefully,” said YSRCP General Secretary Vijay Sai Reddy. With YSRCP not contesting in Telangana elections, looks like its motive is to destroy TDP’s chances in the state.
Political analysts say that there is could be an understanding between YSRCP and TRS which has led to this decision by the former. Also, another common thing between the two parties is that TRS and YSRCP share a common enemy – the TDP. Therefore, they believe that their combined onslaught could damage TDP’s vote share in Telangana.
But, as TRS leader KT Rama Rao recently warned TDP Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, if it attempts to contest in AP, will YSRCP be able to maintain the same warmth with the pink party that it has now or will they become political rivals? The answer is open to guesswork!
